Report: Son Of Democrat Rep Was Palin Email Hacker

The hacker who broke into Governor Sarah Palin’s email account in a search for incriminating information has been identified as David Kernell, son of Democrat Tennessee State Representative Mike Kernell, by The Tennessean.  The paper indicates Democrat Rep Kernell verified his son David is under investigation for the crime.

David Kernell, according to information compiled from different sources, is a 20-year old college student who uses the email address rubico10@yahoo.com.

Tom Manion Releases Campaign Commercial [Video]

It’s mid-September.  Most Bucks County residents are days away from the sticker shock that will result from receiving their first tank of oil for the coming winter.  Wall Street is in the throes of an unraveling credit market, sending stock prices tumbling and people’s 401ks into the red, with Congressional Democrats directly culpable and complicit in mandating that mortgages be given to people who cannot afford to pay them back in areas where values do not appreciate.

It’s mid-September in an election climate as described above.  PA Congressional candidate Tom Manion has released his first television ad of the campaign season, and it’s about…Iraq.

We Are The Digital Brownshirts We Have Been Waiting For

There’s an ugly truth (or four) in the deep recesses several layers beneath the Obama campaign’s ethereal platitudes of “Hope and Change.” One is the “Obama Action Wire,” an official arm of the Obama campaign with the specific purpose of unleashing the candidate’s disciples to stifle the free speech of anyone who dares question the supremecy of “The One.”

When the Obama campaign gets wind of an appearance by a conservative author or coverage of anti-Obama information on a media outlet that allows input from the public (usually talk radio), the “Obama Action Wire” posts incendiary information about the appearance including the assumed subject matter, contact information, and talking points to refute whatever information is being discussed.  “Obama Action Wire” posts also contain “shoot the messenger” smears to be used against the guest who dares to have an opinion with which the Obama campaign disagrees.

The O-zombies then flood the telephone lines or email boxes of the “offending” media outlet in a move designed to keep legitimate inquiries from seeing the light of day, shout down opposing viewpoints, and intimidate media outlets into not bothering to book guests that express opinions not condoned by the Obama campaign.  “Obama Action Wire” missives also target advertisers.

The Obamabots are invited to report their speech-stifling actions back to the Obama campaign for congratulations at their successful suppression of dissent.

Obama to Disciples: Get In Non-Believers’ Faces

In a comment at a Nevada rally on Wednesday that doesn’t sound very hopeish or changey, Presidential candidate Barack Obama urged his disciples to argue with non-believers and “get in their face.”

I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.

When the arugula chomping hippies start canvassing your street “getting in your face,” trying to convert you, you’ll know where the marching orders originated. And when you start hearing on the news about all the partisan physical altercations that broke out because evil conservatives just won’t listen to other opinions, you’ll know the truth.

Is this the “New Politics” we’ve been hearing so much about? Community organization through intimidation. I wonder if this call to action extends to polling places on November 4.

Extremely Weak But Not Fatal: A Reasoned Credit Market Analysis

Businessman and investor Francis Cianfrocca offers a bluntly honest and highly reasoned look at the current Wall Street turmoil in a posting  at Red State.  The entire piece is worth a read, or even two reads, and the entire situation is worth more than a few deep breaths.

It’s not “sunshine and bubble gum,” but it’s also not “review your Boy Scout knots and start working on a noose,” which is the way I was feeling after reading this Wall Street Journal piece last night.

Cianfrocca doesn’t deny the depths of the current crisis, but manages to put it in perspective.  That’s something missing from most of the reporting I’ve seen, which has gotten increasingly hysterical in the past couple days.

Disgraceful: Obama Stalls Troop Withdrawal For Political Gain

Despite campaigning on a platform of “bringing troops home now,” Barack Obama’s campaign confirmed what Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari told writer Amir Teheri: Obama negotiated with Zebari to have Iraq delay an agreement on US troop withdrawal until after the election when he assumes he’ll be able to take credit for it.

In addition to this being the kind of duplicitous action we’ve come to expect from Obama, it’s also likely a federal crime.

Move America Forward has created a television ad (below) based on the incident. You can bet the media isn’t going to report this possible crime, and the McCain campaign issued a quick press release and dropped it, so contributions to MAF to get the ad on the air are the only way this information will see the light of day in the mainstream.

Claim: Hackers Gain Access to Governor Palin’s Email Account [With Updates]

A group of hackers known as “anonymous” claim to have gained access to the personal Yahoo! Mail account of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, posting what they say are screenshots of her inbox, address book and two sample email messages to the WikiLeaks web site.  Pictures of Governor Palin’s children were also posted to the web site.

Although some have said that Palin uses personal email to conduct public business in an attempt to avoid complying with public record laws, the emails released by “anonymous” appear to show the exact opposite: Governor Palin using personal email to conduct personal and political business.  I see no state business being conducted in the information released by “anonymous.”  As such, it’s unclear what the legitimate public interest in viewing Palin’s personal communication would be.

Larry Mendte could not be reached for comment.

Hillary Clinton Protests Palin Over Ahmadinejad Protest

Hillary Clinton has spoken, and it seems she would rather protest Republican VP nominee Governor Sarah Palin than Iranian dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.  The Senator has canceled her planned appearance at a September 22 rally protesting Ahmadinejad’s United Nations appearance in protest of Palin’s planned attendance at the event.

Hillary Clinton supporters frustrated with how she, and they, were summarily dismissed by the Democrat party during the primary season have adopted the slogan “Party Unity My Ass,” but apparently the Senator herself has adopted a slogan of her own: “National Unity My Ass.”
