Priorities: Obama “Saddened” By Terrorist Attack On US Soil

Barack Obama finally got around to issuing a statement regarding the Islamic terrorist attack on a Little Rock, Arkansas military recruiting center that left one soldier dead and one wounded.  Three days after the fact.

And, in contrast to the “shock and outrage” Obama felt at the “heinous act of violence” when an anti-government activist shot and killed abortionist George Tiller, the murder of Private William Long and shooting of Private Quinton Ezeagwula leaves our “President” able to express himself only in vague passive generalities.  He is “deeply saddened.”

I am deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence against two brave young soldiers who were doing their part to strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe. I would like to wish Quinton Ezeagwula a speedy recovery, and to offer my condolences and prayers to William Long’s family as they mourn the loss of their son.

His response to the Tiller murder took mere hours.

The murder of Long and wounding of Ezeagwula, carried out for “political and religious reasons” according to police by an American jihadist trained in Yemen, was the first successful act of Islamic terrorism on US soil since the attacks of 9/11/2001.

Obama is currently overseas describing the US as a “muslim country” and preparing to apologize for us to everyone he meets.

Sotomayor Made Comments Similar To Racist Comment In 1994

I’ve learned via Weasel Zippers that Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor (have you heard she’s a Latina with an enchanting life story?) made a comment in 1994 that was very similar to her 2001 comment stating Latinas come to better conclusions than white men.

The 1994 “rough draft” omitted the racial component, but contained 100% the sexism of the 2001 final version.  So much for Barack Obama’s assurance that she’d just “misspoken.”  Apparently, this is a life-long deeply held belief.

Is Sonia Sotomayor Big Entertainment’s Best Friend?

Wired reports that Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor is a jurist who favors outrageous judgments in copyright infringement cases that far exceed even the inflated compensatory damages requested by big entertainment plaintiffs like the RIAA and MPAA.

When these huge media conglomerates sue their customers, Sotomayor likes to impose judgments not only to reimburse the conglomerate for any lost revenue, but also to teach the individual a lesson and dissuade individuals from even thinking about participating in behavior that may be perceived as infringement.

ABC: Arkansas Jihadist Studied In Yemen, Was On Watch List

Muslim alleged terrorist Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, who police say had “political and religious motives” when he murdered one soldier and wounded another yesterday at a Little Rock, Arkansas military recruitment center, trained in Yemen and was on the FBI’s terrorist watch list.

Apparently, under the new “keep your hands of my jihadists” policy of the Obama administration, “watch list” means “watch me amass some guns and drive over here to shoot a couple soldiers.”

Brady Campaign Backs Sotomayor Nomination

Sebastian at Snowflakes in Hell reported last week that conservatives were chafed at the NRA’s hands-off attitude toward the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor for the Supreme Court.  Based on the NRA quote from The Hill, the NRA had decided to let the debate be framed by others and wait until the confirmation hearings – when in my opinion public sentiment would be cemented and little could be done to derail her – to raise objections.

Police: Muslim Kills Soldier At Recruiting Center

Police have arrested Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad for allegedly shooting at a Little Rock, Arkansas military recruiting center, killing one American soldier and wounding a second. Police believe the shooter acted “with the specific purpose of targeting military personnel,” and have charged him with first-degree murder and terror-related charges.  CNN somehow forgot to include the police Chief’s statement that the shooting appeared to have “political and religious motives.”

From Now On, It’s Ford Or Foreign

What happens when a community organizer hostile to capitalism and a law school dropout with no auto experience come together to run an automobile company?  We’re about to find out.  While saying he has no interest in running a car company out of one side of his mouth, Barack Obama has laid out very specific plans for the future of GM, and he has appointed 31-year-old Brian Deese to carry them out.
