Tonight’s debate, the fourth of the election and third between the two candidates for President, was a much more lively meeting than the previous two, and one in which John McCain emerged as the clear winner.
Barack Obama came off as smug and aloof. His high opinion of himself was unmistakable and evident, and at times it appeared as if he viewed himself as an incumbent President debating John McCain. The only problem is that Obama is not an incumbent President, has accomplished little to nothing of note in his career, and this caused the confidence I’m sure he intended to display to come across as conceit.
There was no time when this was more evident in the debate then when Obama laughed out loud as McCain described the way ACORN is attempting to destroy the fabric of our democracy by perpetrating widespread voter fraud in at least 15 states.
I guess if a rogue organization was using the $832,000 I paid them to steal the election for me, I’d be laughing too. People who actually care about keeping America from becoming a banana republic like Kenya, where Obama campaigned for Islamic rule under Ralia Odinga, are not amused.
The real star of the debate tonight, however, was Ohio plumber Joe Wurzelbacher, who asked Senator Obama why he wanted to raise taxes on hard working small business people like himself just as they were starting to find success in their lives. Obama responded that he wanted to “spread the wealth.”
Joe was not impressed, and neither are most Americans. Senator McCain brought Joe the Plumber up 15 times during the debate tonight, forcing Obama into more “I’ve got a bracelet, too” moments trying to explain away the embarrassing socialist gaffe.
McCain’s gaffe – Senator Government – is a win and should be made into a series of ads immediately.
Obama lied about Bill Ayers, lied about his connection to ACORN and lied about his pro-infanticide vote as well as his past as an infanticide champion. He continues to lie about his tax plan, which amounts to confiscating money from people like Joe the Plumber and sending a check to people who don’t even pay federal income tax to begin with.
There are 19 days until the election. According to the IBD/TIPP poll, the most accurate in predicting the results of the 2004 election, the margin between the candidates is razor thin.
Of course, I wish McCain had hit Obama harder on his constant lies and shady alliances with terrorists, despots and radicals. But McCain kept on him tonight more than he did in the previous debates, and I think Americans are starting to wake up to the fraud the media and Democrat party are attempting to perpetrate on us during this election.
