Reject Boehner’s Bogus Budget Deal

The budget deal struck Friday night to avert a threatened government shutdown looked entirely promising when it was first announced, but it has become clear that it is nothing but smoke, mirrors and gimmicks. It’s simply not enough that it gives liberals fits. It also needs to cut government spending to at least a minimally significant degree. When it appeared to cut $38.5 billion, I could live with it.  It wasn’t enough, but it seemed substantial.
