ABC: Obama’s Iraq Plan Has One Minor Problem. It Won’t Work.

On some days, Barack Obama says he’s getting out of Iraq in 16 months. On some days, Barack Obama says his withdraw from Iraq is up for debate. On some days, Barack Obama says something stupid like he’s going to tell Joint Chiefs of Staff to end the war when Joint Chiefs of Staff have no bearing on the military command structure.
But ABC has gone over Barack Obama’s Iraq plan and determined his confusion about it isn’t the main problem. There’s another nagging little problem with his plan; it won’t work. Like, at all.
“Worst Economy Since The Depression” Update: IPhone Edition

You may have heard that our economy is in tatters and is the worst it has been since The Great Depression. Don’t worry, the image above is not a soup kitchen or unemployment office line. Depicted in the image are some of the thousands of people who lined up in cities and towns across America hoping to be among the first to buy a $200 cell phone.
LA Times Highlights 28-Year-Old McCain / Reagan Rift
To hear the LA Times tell it, there is no fracture in the Democrat party over Barack Obama’s hard right turn since becoming the Democrat nominee. All those pissed-off liberals you see tearfully exclaiming “But we thought you were the changey Messiah!” are just an optical illusion. The printed left-coast version of Baghdad Bob would like to direct your attention elsewhere now, thank you very much.
Contrast this with the assumed rift between the Republican nominee and the wife of a former Republican President as reported in the LA Times. As evidence, they resurrect a 28-year-old falling out between McCain and the Reagans that conveniently also allows them to dig deeply into the very relevant matter of McCain’s uncontested 1980 divorce.

Gas Crisis For Fire Vehicles? Not in Bucks County.
You may have read several articles in left-wing smear rags like McClatchy newspapers that the response of your local fire company is being negatively effected by soaring gas prices. Spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt about how terrible things are is the MO of the left during election years when there’s a Republican incumbent. They may have gone something like this, from Thursday:
FOX May Air More Jackson Obama Slam Tape

Obama Supporters to Angry Liberals: “Relax, He’s Just Lying to Win”
The Los Angeles Times runs a little bit of interference for the Obama campaign today, which is being battered by attacks from its left-wing nutroots concerning the campaign’s dramatic shift away from its liberal roots.
The message: “Relax angry liberals. He really didn’t sprint rightward all that much, and even if he did he’s just lying to win in November.”
State Bonus Probe Charges Expected at 2PM ET
PA Attorney General Tom Corbett is expected to announce Bonus probe charges against multiple defendants in Harrisburg this afternoon at 2PM. The probe concerns whether Democratic Caucus legislators illegally paid bonuses to staffers for working on campaigns using public funds.
As expected, Corbett waited until the legislative session was over for the year in order to avoid disruption of state business.
