Debate Two: Better Get Some Ice On That, Joe

The Vice Presidential debate between Senator Joe Biden and Governor Sarah Palin was an unmitigated slam-dunk win for Governor Palin.  Kathleen Parker, your credibility called to let you know it’s never coming home. Cleanup on aisle one.

The standard set before the debate by the pundits was that if Palin didn’t drool or fall off the stage, she would win by default. She didn’t need their low expectations.  She took it to Biden from the get go.  And Biden, through all the heavy sighs, forced smiles and eye bulging fury, couldn’t hit back.  Like a boy at third grade recess getting beaten mercilessly by a girl, all that was left for Biden to do was attempt to shed a tear and hope for some sympathy from the crowd that had gathered.

Because of Obama I’m Inspired To Be The Next Town Drunk

Obama Youth gone militant.  Whether it’s pre-teens singing angelic praises in the form of a hymn to Dear Leader Obama or teens marching around in pseudo-military garb chanting about how Barack Obama is their Alpha and Omega and reciting policy positions, it’s clear that a wave of idolatry like we’ve not seen since the late 1930s surrounds Barack Obama among youth.

Your taxes apparently funded the video below, which is reported to have been shot at a charter school in Kansas City called the Urban Community Leadership Academy.

Coming Soon To A Corner Near You: Obama Heroin

A drug bust in Kingston, PA yielded an interesting discovery.

KINGSTON  – One of three types of heroin allegedly sold by five people busted by authorities Wednesday night was called OBAMA with an imprint of the presidential candidate on packets, said Frank Noonan, regional director for the state Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation and Drug Control.

“I’ve never seen a stamp like that before,” Noonan said during a news conference Thursday morning.

The danger may be minimal, however.  I hear they named the heroin “Obama” because it never really did anything notable, although one of the possible effects is sitting in a church for 20 years without being able to hear what’s being said.

I have it on good authority that Patrick Murphy heroin is being sold on the street corners of Bucks County.  Word on the street is it’s indistinguishable from Nancy Pelosi heroin.

Boston Globe Store Selling Obama Bags

Wearing their bias as a badge of honor, the Boston Globe is selling Designer Obama Handbags emblazoned with the words “Hope,” “Change,” and a picture of the candidate with his mouth agape no doubt spewing some nonsense about “Hope and Change.”  Or maybe it’s about confiscating guns.  In case you were wondering, Obama is an “Inspiring” “Thinker” who represents “Wisdom” and “Unity” according to the bag.

A powerful image, a powerful message….”carry a conversation” of hope and change. The Obama handbag made by FlashBag is the perfect head turning blend of fashion sense meets common sense. No handbag collection is complete this Fall without the Obama handbag.

Wouldn’t want to have an incomplete handbag collection this fall.

Bruce of No Looking Backwards, who found the offering, comments

Because you’ll want to look as stylish as possible for your fellow Obamatron cultist friends, while you’re reading the Globe’s latest Sarah Palin smearjob.

…and Michelle Malkin provides a little background

The Boston Globe, which refuses to correct its factually-challenged smear of Sarah Palin over rape kits, has an online store. According to its “About Us” page, the store was formed in 1996 “to make The Globe’s extensive photo archives and content available for both people and businesses…In addition to offering the historic images and content of New England’s largest newspaper, the Globe Store also has a growing selection of books and products that celebrate our region’s personalities, sports teams, history, and places.”

Michael Chrichton’s “Vanished Concerns” speech

As I researched these old fears, to find out what had been said in the past, I made several important discoveries. The first is that there is nothing more sobering than a 30 year old newspaper. You can’t figure out what the headlines mean. You don’t know who the people are. Theodore Green, John Sparkman, George Reedy, Jack Watson, Kenneth Duberstein. You thumb through page after page of vanished concerns-issues that apparently were vitally important at the time, and now don’t matter at all. It’s amazing how many pressing concerns are literally of the moment. They won’t matter in six months, and certainly not in six years. And if they won’t matter then, are they really worth our attention now?

But as David Brinkley once said, “The one function TV news performs very well is that when there is no news we give it to you with the same emphasis as if there were.”
