Outsourcing enthusiast Carly Fiorina has endorsed the candidacy of former Canadian citizen Ted Cruz.
In 2004, Fiorina told Congress that “There is no job that is America’s God-given right anymore.” Apparently, that includes the US Presidency.
Fiorina told the shrinking crowd at a Cruz rally that she voted for Cruz rather than herself in Virginia’s primary on Super Tuesday.
Fiorina said last week during the Virginia primary that she didn’t vote for herself, despite appearing on the ballot, but instead chose Cruz.
“I checked the box for Ted Cruz and I am here to tell you why,” Fiorina said today.
“He has fought for our religious liberty,” she said. “He is a leader and reformer.”
Cruz didn’t renounce his Canadian citizenship until 2014. During her campaign, Fiorina said she had trouble with his citizenship issues.
Fiorina stated, “Well, I don’t know all the particulars, but I would say this, I find it odd that Senator Ted Cruz did not renounce his dual Canadian citizenship until 2014, when it became clear he was running for president.”
She added that Cruz should be asked about not renouncing his dual citizenship until 2014. Fiorina continued, “clearly, there are both legal scholars, and others who think this is, perhaps, a legitimate issue.
