The failed policies of Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats cost the Taker Party another seat in the US House of Representatives Tuesday night, when Republican Bob Turner pulled off a win to capture the seat previously held by disgraced pervert Democrat Anthony Weiner.
The “Weiner Seat” had previously been held by Democrat stalwarts like Chuck Schumer and Geraldine Ferraro. According to the AP, the district has never elected a Republican. I’m assuming that means the district as it stands now, because I’ve also read that the last time the geographic area had a Republican representative in the House was in the early 1920s.
Either way, it’s a big cup of water poured over the plans of Barack Obama and Democrats to ram another stimulus through Congress. Get it through your head, douche. We don’t want it.
Republicans have scored an upset victory in a House race that became a referendum on President Barack Obama’s economic policies.
The heavily Democratic district, which spans parts of Queens and Brooklyn, had never sent a Republican to the House. But frustration with the continued weak national economy gave Republicans the edge.
At least AP admits it’s a “referendum on President Barack Obama’s economic policies,” but come on. “Frustration with the continued weak national economy?” An honest media would write that Turner should thank Obama’s teleprompter for the speech last Thursday night. People saw that he was pushing yet another failed stimulus, and even true-blue New York City couldn’t abide it.
Liberals, of course, are living in denial. Scott Brown winning the friggin’ Ted Kennedy seat in Massachusetts didn’t mean anything. Chris Christie winning the New Jersey governorship didn’t mean anything. November 2010 didn’t mean anything. The failed Wisconsin Recall Elections didn’t mean anything. Taking the Weiner/Schumer/Ferraro seat in NY09 doesn’t mean anything. When Republicans win the White House in 2012, will they finally wake up and realize that their ideology has been thoroughly rejected by America? And not just “real America” in the heartland. Massachusetts, New Jersey, and now freaking New York City.
You’re over. You’re done. Get out of the way. Senate: Pass whatever the Republican House sends you. Failed President Obama: Sign whatever the Republican House sends you. Be a patriot, and do your best not to screw things up further while you’re holding the place of the 2013 Republican President and 2013 GOP-led Senate.
