“Courageous Decision” Alert: Axelrod Admits Osama Killing Doesn’t Matter

Obama adviser David Axelrod admits that the killing of Osama bin Laden will have little effect on failed President Barack Obama’s re-election chances in November 2012.

It should be noted that, continually extolling the no-brainer decision to put a bullet in the al Qaeda founder’s skull as “brave” or “courageous” is tacit acknowledgement that Barack Obama is a pussy.  If Bush had caught Osama and given the order to kill him rather than capture him, would it have been repeatedly called “courageous?”  What they really mean is that it’s “brave for a guy like Obama.”  They’re grading on a courage curve.

And, they apparently now realize that a dead terror figurehead does not an election guarantee.

“It was an extraordinary event, a courageous decision and an important step forward for the country,” David Axelrod, a senior Obama adviser, says of the bin Laden operation. “Was it a transformative political event? I can’t say that. Ultimately people view these elections through the lens of their own experiences, and right now that’s the economy.”

The thrust of the article is how Obama’s election chances are looking increasingly grim, with 51% of all adults, the demographic group traditionally most favorable to Democrats in surveys, now saying Obama does not deserve reelection.
