Cap and Trade Vote Target List

Michelle Malkin links to the Americans for Prosperity House of Representatives list of members to target in last minute phone and fax efforts to stop the massive “Cap and Trade” tax increase.  A vote on Cap and Trade is scheduled for today.

7:45 PM ET UPDATE: Passed 219-212 with 8 Republican votes

7PM ET UPDATE: Vote is imminent.

4:30 PM ET UPDATE: Latest estimate is that it will not be until 7 or 8 PM ET until this destructive bill is voted on.  There is still time to call your Representative and demand their vote against Cap and Tax. It is especially important for the people who find their Representative in the list below.  The main switchboard number for the US House of Representatives is 202-224-3121.   Or, you can follow the instructions in the paragraph below.

I’m moving this up here because it’s important:

If your Congressman is on an undecided or leaning list below PLEASE click here and enter your zip code to get your representative’s number and talking points on this issue.

Here’s a little inspiration:

There are several Pennsylvania Representatives who are still leaning or are entirely undecided on the carbon tax bill, which the Wall Street Journal estimates is the largest tax in American history.

As a reminder, phone contact is usually most persuasive with fax contact right behind.  Email contact is generally not recommended, as it is easily ignored and discounted.

Always be polite and direct.

It is not futile. These are your representatives in Washington, and they need to know how you feel about this important issue.  This bill is a household budget buster, which in these times also means it is an economy buster.
