Grievance lawyer and perennial election loser Kathryn Boockvar announced she would like to be the Democrat sacrificial lamb to challenge incumbent RINO Mike Fitzpatrick for Pennsylvania’s 8th district Congressional seat.
And now, Gary Weckselblatt’s submission for the Awkward Prose Award.
With echoes of “voter frustration” pummeling her eardrums, Kathryn Boockvar wanted to run for Congress.
I hate it when my eardrums are pummeled by echoes. Stop pummeling my eardrums, damn echoes!
Everyone has a few they wish they could have back. I’m guessing GW wants that one back.
Another thing I despise: Politicians who play the “out of the mouths of babes” card right off the bat. I get it. You’re a mom. No offense, but so was Casey Anthony. Not necessarily a huge achievement.
But as the mother of a 13-year-old daughter, she was concerned about the impact a political campaign and a potential job in Washington would have on her family.
Recently, however, the tension felt by the 43-year-old attorney from Doylestown abated when [her daughter] approached her and said “Mom, I think you should run.”
“We had multiple conversations,” Boockvar said of her mother-daughter talks. “She was very thoughtful about it and asked a lot of questions. I’m incredibly proud of my daughter and how supportive she has been.”
Damn, send this woman and her 13-year old career adviser to Washington! I guess she didn’t have any relevant conversations about the run with her adult, lawyer husband. Just the kid.
Of course, especially considering that we’ve finally excised Philadelphia and Montgomery County from the 8th district, RINO Mike is unlikely to be beaten. Democrats have an answer to that, though: Irrelevant results from past elections!
In an email, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee said the district is winnable in 2012. Even with the 8th District’s new geography, they say, President Barack Obama took 54 percent of the vote in 2008, Sen. John Kerry 50.7 percent in 2004 and Sen. Bob Casey 57.8 percent in 2006.
How did L’il Pat Murphy and Joe “Secret Job Offer” Sestak do in 2010? Do we think 2012 will be more like 2010 or 2004-2008?
Maybe Bucks Democrats should throw up a giant tally of how many voters their twisted ideology has lost since 2008 at their headquarters.
